An international conference on the molecular and population biology of mosquitoes and other carriers of infectious diseases
An international conference on the molecular and population biology of mosquitoes and other carriers of infectious diseases, the only one of its kind in the world, is to be held at the Orthodox Academy of Crete (24-29 July), where it has been held for the last 15 years. It is an event with a huge international reach, attracting the scientific interest of hundreds of researchers, with entries coming from all continents.
In his welcome speech at the beginning of the conference, Dr Konstantinos Zorbas, the OAC’s General Director, stressed the importance of collaboration among scientists to address diseases related to mosquito biology, as well as other modern social problems.
